The conceptual approach is centred on the idea of a “vertical campus.” Drawing inspiration from the surrounding Broadgate Campus, the project challenges the conventional organization of tall buildings by introducing a more interconnected and community-oriented spatial structure. The building integrates workplaces with retail spaces, private terraces, internal winter gardens, innovative public functions, and an accessible Social Lobby. These elements create opportunities for interaction and collaboration, transforming the building into a dynamic workplace environment.

The Winter Garden is positioned between the two towers, acting as a key communal space and visual anchor within the project. Conceived as a retreat for building tenants, it reflects the broader interior concept of a “Neighbourhood.” The space allows users to pause within a landscaped environment while enjoying panoramic views of the London skyline. Acting as a transition between interior and exterior environments, the Winter Garden incorporates biophilic design principles, fostering comfort, continuity, and a sense of openness within the dense urban context. It is designed as an inclusive space that supports and strengthens the tenant community.

The lift lobby design adopts a calm and understated architectural language. Clean detailing combined with a carefully selected palette of finishes creates a neutral and refined atmosphere. The design is flexible and adaptable to lift lobbies of varying sizes, while maintaining a coherent visual identity throughout the building. The interior palette also establishes a visual connection to the building’s primary arrival spaces, including the Ground Floor and Social Lobby.

The project also included illuminance studies, comparing three different lighting scenarios to evaluate spatial quality, visual comfort, and overall lighting performance within the designed interiors.
