Conflux
Copenhagen Light Festival 2026

CONFLUX is a projection-based installation that explores interconnections across four different scales: Nature, Movement, Society, and Cosmos. The work seeks to evoke a sense of relationship and connection with what surrounds us, unfolding networks that resemble patterns found in nature. Images of mycelium, branching trees, and cosmic structures flow into one another, forming systems of nodes and links.

The installation reflects on how, even though we may feel small within cosmic or global scales, our immediate environments are shaped by collective actions. Through this visual language of interconnected structures, Conflux invites viewers to reflect on the invisible networks that bind natural, social, and cosmic systems together.
Visitors often paused along the bridge and nearby paths, observing the slowly shifting projections across the stone surface and the frozen canal below. Some commented on the subtle transformation of the space: “At first I thought it was just light, but there's actually a pattern.” Others noted how the work changed their perception of the place at night: “It makes the whole place feel different at night.” For many, the installation created a quiet, contemplative moment within the winter city: “It's kind of calming to watch.” Some also appreciated how the projection interacted with the historic architecture of the bridge: “It's cool how it blends with the architecture.”
As part of the project, a poem was also created on the other side of the bank, reflecting the central ideas of the installation and expanding its themes through metaphor and rhythm while echoing the interconnected structures.
